José Rodriguez, Historian & Sociologist

He holds a degree in History from the University of Ecuador and is currently completing a Master’s in Sociology at the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO). His professional experience has been primarily in social science research, with a particular focus on Ecuadorian cultural and political history. He has also conducted field and territorial research with marginalized urban communities addressing basic needs, as well as with Indigenous and rural communities in the Ecuadorian Amazon on environmental and pollution issues.

In addition, he collaborates with the Latina Mission Moms’ Committee from San Francisco, contributing to the development of our Educational Project for Spanish Proficiency and Identity. He also has experience as a university lecturer in Philosophy and Research methodology, as a high school teacher, and as an instructor in Arts and National reality, utilizing popular education approaches and pedagogical mediation in underserved areas.
